Retail trade union Usdaw is stepping up their campaign for recognition at online clothes retailer Boohoo, after the company has this week again refused to meet. Now the chair of a House of Commons committee has written to the company asking for a progress report on their recommendation for Boohoo hold talks with Usdaw to meet key ethical trading standards.

Philip Green must engage with Usdaw to give Arcadia staff a voice and avoid another BHS style scandal

Sir Philip Green's Arcadia Group has tonight announced plans to shut 23 stores putting 520 jobs at risk. Shopworkers’ trade union Usdaw has called for urgent talks. Dorothy Perkins, Burton, Topshop and Topman stores have been earmarked
for closure as part of a company voluntary arrangement (CVA).

M&S staff are deeply concerned by today's confirmation of many more store closures - Usdaw renews their call for recognition

Shopworkers' trade union Usdaw has renewed their call for recognition as the trade union for Marks & Spencer staff after it was today reported that the company's chief executive confirmed the threat of 85 more store closures, following the 35 already closed. All M&S shopworkers were put under threat of redundancy in November 2016 when the company announced a restructuring that would affect more than 100 shops over a five year period. They did not say which store will close and so far we've seen four waves of closure announcements.

Andover Ocado staff now at risk of redundancy 3 months after the fire - Usdaw says members are devastated

Online shopping fulfilment provider Ocado have informed Usdaw, the trade union for their staff, that after failing to find an alternative site in the Andover area, they propose to make redundancies.
