Carer’s Leave Bill: Usdaw urges Peers to support as a step in the right direction, but amend to make it paid leave 02 March 2023 Retail trade union Usdaw is calling for Peers to support the Carer’s Leave Bill, which would give people with caring responsibilities a right to unpaid leave from work. The Bill received was passed unopposed by the House of Commons and is set to receive its second reading in the House of Lords on Friday 3 March. Usdaw will be looking for the Bill to be amended at a later stage to make the proposed leave paid.
