ICTU Women’s Conference 2024: Usdaw seeks action to support carers

Retail trade union Usdaw has a delegation, representing workers in Northern Ireland, attending the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) Women’s Conference, which starts today and takes place in Athlone in the Republic of Ireland. The union has submitted a motion for the conference agenda to seek support for women carers.

Retail trade union Usdaw has a delegation of members, reps and official attending the annual Trade Union Congress (TUC) Women Workers’ Conference, starting today and taking place in London. The union submitted two motions for the conference agenda on 'Supporting Women Carers' and 'Women's Under-Representation in Policy and Decision Making'.

Usdaw celebrates LGBT+ History Month 2024

Usdaw once again welcomes the start of LGBT+ History Month, which is celebrated in the UK every February. The initiative was started by ‘Schools OUT’ 19 years ago to mark the abolition of Section 28 and shine a spotlight on the lives and contributions LGBT+ people make to our society that have been overlooked and excluded from history.

STUC Disabled Workers' Conference 2023: Usdaw seeks to tackle gender-based violence and poverty

The union has submitted motions on tackling gender-based violence against disabled workers, along with building a movement of protest against poverty.
