Retail trade union Usdaw held their last political conference ahead of the forthcoming general election in Manchester at the weekend. ‘Usdaw for Labour’ activists from across the country gathered to hear from the shadow minister for employment rights Justin Madders MP (Labour, Ellesmere Port and Neston), Usdaw general secretary Paddy Lillis, along with key seat Labour candidates Helena Dollimore (Hastings & Rye), Michael Payne (Gedling) and Sarah Hall (Warrington South).

Ikea restructure proposal could impact over 3,000 roles in UK and RoI – Usdaw to enter into consultation talks

Retail giant Ikea has today briefed staff about their restructure proposals that could impact all 3,233 staff currently working in selected fulfilment areas across the United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland. There are also proposed changes in the Wembley and Warrington offices. Usdaw is the union for Ikea staff in the UK and will now enter into consultation talks with the company.
