The Union’s grants are governed by the Union’s Rule Book and this remains unchanged in the face of the current pandemic. A member will qualify for the sickness grant if their employer or GP can verify that they have been off with sickness. Production of the NHS 111 isolation note will also be accepted as evidence. Sickness Grants are only payable following 6 weeks continuous sickness leave.
