U-turn on fee for foreign health and care workers welcome - Usdaw calls for all key workers to be exempted

Retail trade union Usdaw has welcomed Keir Starmer’s victory on overseas health and care staff being exempted from the fee levied on migrants to pay for the NHS. Usdaw now calls on the Prime Minister to go further on his U-turn and extend the exemption to all key workers providing essential services through the Coronavirus emergency.

Scottish Parliament committee scrutinises proposed protection of shopworkers law - Usdaw calls for the Bill to progress

Shopworkers’ trade union Usdaw has welcomed further scrutiny of the Protection of Workers (Retail and Age-restricted Goods and Services) (Scotland) Bill at today’s Economy, Energy and Fair Work Committee meeting. Usdaw calls for the Bill to complete Stage 1 and progress to Stage 2 of the legislative process, so that the Parliament can give consideration to amendments.
