How to apply (for all jobs except Area Organiser vacancies)

Application packs can be obtained in four ways:
1. Download from this area
2. Ring 0161 224 2804 to request a hard copy
3. E-mail jobvacancies@usdaw.org.uk. Completed application forms can also be returned to this e-mail address.
4. Fax 0161 249 2478

PLEASE NOTE: Application forms can be downloaded from the website, completed and returned by post, fax or e-mail. However, if you return your application form to us in an electronic format and have not signed and dated the declaration, you will be expected to sign it if you are invited to attend an interview. Please ensure that you return either a completed e-mailed application form or a completed hard copy of your application form, but not both.

We do not accept CVs in place of an application form, when applying for a specific position.

How to apply for Area Organiser vacancies

Prospective applicants should apply in writing to:

for an application form, together with a copy of the Selection Procedures, Job Description and Person Specification and a copy of the Union's policy on "Equal Opportunity in Employment".

The completed application form, together with the required written statement, should be returned to the Union's Central Office in an envelope marked "Organiser" so that it reaches the General Secretary not later than first post on the closing date stated in the circular to the Union Official/Branch Secretary.

CVs are not accepted. No agencies please

Applicants for Area Organiser vacancies must be members of Usdaw.

    The Central Treasurer is responsible for the direction and management of the Union's finances including overall supervision of the Audit, Accounts, Records and Benefits Sections, and is Secretary and Administrator of the Staff Superannuation Fund.
