The Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers is one of the UK's largest trade unions.
A vacancy exists for an Accounting Manager based at the Union’s Head Office. Please note that this position is fully office based.

Principal duties are: under the direction of the Central Treasurer, to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with internal procedures and statutory requirements; overseeing month- end close processes, managing accounts payable and receivable processes and supporting tax compliance; managing payroll functions and coordinating with external auditors; managing and motivating the Accounts team, delegating effectively and delivering a high-quality finance service that supports the Union’s strategic objectives.
The successful applicant will possess: knowledge of UK accounting principles and standards gained through qualification(s) and experience; knowledge of accounts payable and receivable functions; high attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity; strong personal accountability and ownership; leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and build a positive culture; the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
