Michelle Byrne – Usdaw area organiser says: “It is deeply regrettable that Tetrosyl is engaging in immoral ‘fire and rehire’ tactics and our members have now responded with an emphatic vote for industrial action. The company needs to take on board the strength of feeling among their staff and withdraw their new contract.
“As it stands, warehouse staff are set to lose between £4,000 and £7,000 per year, due to the removal of terms such as a shift supplement and paid breaks. Usdaw views the new terms in their current form as totally unacceptable, especially given the ongoing cost of living crisis affecting members and the continuing contribution they make to the success of the business.”
