Bally Auluk – Usdaw national officer says: “Pepco has been seeking a buyer for the Poundland business for some time, so it is a positive that the company now has a future under a new owner. We are aware that part of the deal is to restructure the business as part of a turnaround plan, and we look forward to being consulted on that at the earliest opportunity. We are seeking urgent talks with the company and new owners about their plans for the future of the business and what this means for staff. In the meantime, we are providing our members with the support, advice and representation needed at this time of uncertainty.”
