Salary: £33,044 pa rising to £39,577 pa (pro rata to £13,606 pa rising to £16,296 pa) after 4 years' service

The Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers is one of the UK's largest trade unions.
A vacancy exists for a Senior Research Administrator based at the Union’s Head Office.
Hours of Work: This position is 14 hours a week and will be a job share, the postholder will work two days a week on Thursday and Friday. The start and finish times to be agreed between the Union and the successful candidate.

The principal duties are: To provide full secretarial and administrative support to the Tesco National Officers and Tesco Support Team.
The successful applicant will possess: knowledge of the Trade Union Movement; the ability to communicate effectively with officials, staff, members and employers; the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and have well-developed planning and organisational skills; actively listens to and respects the views and feelings of others and works harmoniously with individual colleagues and small teams; has tact, initiative and discretion when handling personal and sensitive information; has an awareness of the importance of providing and effective service to members and external agencies.
