The Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers is one of the UK's largest trade union.
A vacancy exists for an Artworker/DTP Operator based at the Union's Head Office.

The principal duties are: to assist in providing a design and art working/desktop publishing service to the Union, for the bulk of the Union's print/digital publications and campaign materials, focussing on the more technically complex designs and brand development. To assist with the day-to-day management of the independent Apple Mac network in the department.
The successful applicant will possess: knowledge of colour printing processes and procedures; experience of and knowledge of the Apple Mac system network, system management and operating system software; proficiency in the use of a range of software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Microsoft Office; the ability to communicate effectively; proofreading skills, accuracy and attention to detail; the ability to work without direct supervision and be able to handle several projects simultaneously to meet agreed deadlines.
