BCM Fareva, Nottingham: Usdaw members to take further industrial action over the slashing of terms and conditions

Date: 08 October 2021 Members of Usdaw at BCM Fareva will begin a further stoppage on Sunday 10 October, which will continue into Monday. The strike follows five previous stoppages in July and August.
Nottingham based manufacturer of consumer pharma and beauty products for leading brands including Boots and The Body Shop has imposed through ‘fire and rehire’ cuts to staff terms and conditions.

Daniel Adams - Usdaw National Officer says: “Despite solid support for action from members at the previous five stoppages, the company so far is not listening. Members have been forced to accept significant reductions in their terms and conditions or be dismissed. Although the company did put forward a moderately improved offer at the last minute, this was overwhelmingly rejected by members in a ballot.“Management are kidding themselves if they think this means the dispute is over. Usdaw continues to call on the business to sit down with the union in meaningful talks and attempt to resolve the ongoing dispute.”
