Usdaw nominates Jackie Baillie MSP for Deputy Leader of Scottish Labour

Date: 05 February 2020 Retail trade union and Labour’s third largest affiliate has today decided to nominate Jackie Baillie MSP for Deputy Leader of Scottish Labour.
Stewart Forrest - Usdaw Scottish Divisional Officer says: “I’ve worked with Jackie for many years and she has been a consistent, committed and effective campaigner on behalf of our members and working people across the country. She has championed our members’ issues and I’m proud that we are backing her to be Scottish Labour’s next Deputy Leader.”

Paddy Lillis - Usdaw General Secretary says: “Jackie has the national profile and skills to take Scottish Labour’s message into every community across Scotland. I look forward to working with her as an effective champion for Scottish Labour and working people.”

Individual members of Usdaw who are also affiliated supporters of the Labour Party are entitled to vote in the Scottish Labour deputy leadership election.
