Devastating news for Tesco Direct staff as the company announces the closure of their Fenny Lock fulfilment centre

Date: 22 May 2018 Tesco has announced that they propose to close their online fulfilment centre at Fenny Lock near Milton Keynes, which will also impact on some jobs at the company’s Welwyn Garden City head office and Dundee Customer Service Centre.

Joanne McGuinness – Usdaw National Officer says: “This is devastating news for Tesco Direct staff. Usdaw officials and senior reps will now enter into consultation talks with the company where we will look closely at the business case for the proposed closure. Our priorities will be to support, advise and represent our members through this difficult period, and to get the best possible deal for them.”
