Sainsbury's review of in-store night shift and commercial department roles potentially puts jobs at risk

Date: 04 March 2017 Sainsbury’s have proposed significant changes to night shift operations and commercial departments in stores. The changes will affect a number of stores across the UK in different ways.

Joanne McGuinness – Usdaw National Officer says: “Usdaw will now be entering into consultation meetings with the company about their proposals, where we will be looking at the business case for these changes. Our priorities are to protect jobs, keep staff in employment and get the best deal for our members. Usdaw reps and officials are providing our members with the support, advice and representation they need at this time of uncertainty.”
