M&S cuts redundancy package

21 August 2008

Usdaw National Officer, John Gorle, said:

“It is difficult enough when employees face redundancy, especially in these uncertain times where the number of jobless people is rising along with the cost of living. If M&S is planning to make staff redundant, a reduced redundancy package will be an added blow.

“Usdaw believes that employees are the backbone of any business and should be treated with respect. We campaign on behalf of all our members to make sure their voice is heard and stop them from being treated like disposable commodities.”
