Most working people will be hit hard by the Tory-led Coalition's cuts.

To help us campaign against the cuts, and inform our members how the cuts will affect them, please let us know if you or someone in your family:

Receive Tax Credits?
- Tax credits lost in April 2012 if income exceeds £26k with 1 child or £32k with 2
- Working Tax Credit frozen for 3 years in April 2011 & clawback increased by 2%
- Childcare Tax Credit reduced from 80% to 70% of childcare costs in April 2011
- 50+ element of Working Tax Credit abolished in April 2012
- Working Tax Credit lost by couples with children who cannot work 24 hours a week
Have children? Are they:
- Under 19? Child benefit frozen for 3 years in April 2011
- Stay in education after 16? EMA abolished in England – January 2011
- Hoping to go to University? Tuition fees treble up to £9k from September 2012
- Under a year old? Lose extra tax credits Health in Pregnancy Grant and Child Trust Fund
Are you a Pensioner or soon will be?
- Aged over 60? Winter Fuel Allowance Rates cut
- Receive Pension Credit? Savings credit element to be frozen for 4 years
- Due to retire after 5 April 2013? Higher tax allowance to be aboilshed for new pensioners
- Aged over 65? Age related tax allowances to be frozen
Affected by other cuts?
- Do you struggle to get by due to rising costs of living and the increase in VAT?
- Receive housing benefit? To be cut by an average £9 a week from January 2012
- Aged 52 – 57? Increase in State Pension Age to 66 from 2018 - 2020
- Aged over 44 - 52? Increase in State Pension Age to 67 from 2026 - 2028
