Usdaw launches personal injury call centre

Shopworkers’ union, Usdaw, has launched a new injury claim line – FirstCall Usdaw – with the strapline ‘No forms No fuss No delay’.

FirstCall Usdaw is the new free 24/7 telephone claim line for processing applications for legal assistance in injury and disease cases for members and their families. It replaces the old form system, giving a faster and easier service for Usdaw’s 359,000 members.

John Hannett, Usdaw General Secretary, launched FirstCall Usdaw at the Union’s Annual Delegate Meeting this week in Blackpool’s Winter Gardens. John commented:

“Looking after members who have been injured at work is at the heart of the Union’s work. FirstCall Usdaw will give members the fast modern service they deserve and expect. Usdaw’s Legal Services are a great reason to join the union and FirstCall Usdaw will make access even better.’’
