Making it affordableIndividual Learning Account WalesIf you live in Wales Individual Learning Accounts Wales (ILA Wales) could help you pay for the training you need to improve your skills and get that job. Individual Learning Account Scotland ILA Scotland is a brand new scheme that will help you pay for the learning you want to do. You can get up to £200 a year towards a wide range of approved courses. Learning Fund In some companies Usdaw Union Learning Reps have negotiated that a Learning Fund be set up. Cash help for members at Open University Union members* looking to improve their qualifications and/or enhance their job prospects can take advantage of Usdaw’s financial assistance for people who study with the Open University. Adult Learning Grants The Adult Learning Grant (ALG) is a means tested grant. The grant provides a weekly payment during term time to adults studying full-time for a first Level 2 qualification (five GCSEs or equivalent) and to adults aged 19-30 studying for a first Level 3 qualification (two A levels or equivalent). |
