Boots manufacturing - guidelines for a site Learning Fund
This agreement covers approximately 900 of the 1200 staff employed at the Boots Manufacturing site in Nottingham. The site produces toiletries for Boots the Chemist. The joint policy includes guidelines for setting up and running a site Learning Fund.
A site level learning fund will be established to help make learning affordable and sustainable for the future. The fund will operate in accordance with the agreed rules (see appendix 2) and managed via the site level steering group.
As part of the learning initiative, it is necessary to set up a bank account for the site learning fund. The arrangements for the accounts are as follows:
The accounts will be called the "Learning Fund”
The funds drawn from the account will be used to help make learning affordable or improve the learning experience. The steering group/learning committee will be responsible for setting up guidelines for use and for making decisions about which learning will be subsidised and the amount of subsidy it will receive.
