Cavaghan and Gray - guidelines for a site Learning Fund
This agreement is a local agreement covering the Cavaghan and Gray site at Carlisle. The site manufactures products including potato topped pies, quiches, recipe dishes and party foods, mainly for Marks & Spencer. There are approximately 900 members of staff. The joint policy includes guidelines for setting up and running a site Learning Fund, which the company make regular contributions to.
As part of the learning initiative, it is necessary to set up a bank account for the site learning fund. The arrangements for the accounts are as follows:
The accounts will be called the Learning Zone Learning Fund”.
The funds drawn from the account will be used to help make learning affordable or improve the learning experience. The steering group/learning committee will make decisions about which learning will be subsidised and the amount of subsidy it will receive.
