Joint Learning Fund – Dairy Crest (Aspatria)
Dairy Crest Aspatria is a site that manufactures milk and cheese products and has about 120 staff. The joint Learning Policy with Dairy Crest (Aspatria) contains guidelines on the site Learning Fund.
"The funds drawn from the account will be used to help make learning affordable or improve the learning experience. The steering group/learning committee will make decisions about which learning will be subsidised and the amount of subsidy it will receive.
An income and expenditure report will be issued to the Learning Group on a monthly basis and the money in the account will not be zero’d at the end of the financial year. If the Company should be bought-over or go into liquidation then it is noted that this fund does not actually belong to the Company but to the Union and will therefore be covered by trade union/employer guidelines".
