Affordable Learning

ULR briefing - making learning affordable
Making learning affordable is part of Usdaw’s Lifelong Learning strategy. So losing the Individual Learning Accounts scheme (ILA) was a setback and we have been successfully campaigning for alternatives. But now what you can get depends on where you live and your circumstances.

    Soap Stars - 100% success
16 Usdaw members at the Standard Soap Company in Ashby-de-la-Zouch have been celebrating their passes in the literacy and numeracy National Tests. That’s a 100% success rate. Learning in Retail

    What is happening in retail?
Lifelong Learning is one of Usdaw’s most successful and popular campaigns. We have now trained over 500 Union Learning Reps and encouraged 10,000 members back into learning. But many in retail have yet to see these benefits and are asking why learning has been slow to develop in retail. And they want to know what Usdaw is doing about it.
