Recruiting new members is an important task for everyone in Usdaw. Why not e-mail a friend the address of our join online form.
Each year the union has to recruit over 80,000 new members just to maintain our strength. Imagine the power and influence the union could have in your workplace if everyone was a member. If every member recruited a friend today then the union would double in size from 345,000 to 690,000 members overnight.
Our experience shows that it's the personal approach that counts and many people may not have joined because they simply have not been asked. This is particularly true for part-time workers working shifts. You can help the union by telling a friend at work why you're a member. Tell them all about the professional services and benefits they're missing and show them some of the topical leaflets the union produces.
