Usdaw appreciates the vital role that safety reps play and many employers now recognise the valuable role that reps can play and are keen to encourage members to become safety reps.
Every year over 2 million workers suffer some form of work-related illness and there are 1.5 million workplace accidents. Most of these injuries and illnesses could be prevented by better management of health and safety in the workplace.
