National Food and Drink Industry H&S Awards.
Are you a health and safety rep in food manufacturing or in the dairy industry? Have you been involved in a project to improve health and safety in your factory? Then you could be in line for an award. The Institution for Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) sponsors the awards with support from the HSE.
The awards recognise innovative projects that have produced a practical solution to, or made a positive impact on, a health and safety problem in the food and drink manufacturing sector.
Anyone working in the food and drink manufacturing industries is eligible to enter, either as an individual or as a team. Entries should be in by 1 August 2009. Please send your entry to Nathalie Muller, IOSH, the Grange, Highfield Drive, Wigston, Leicestershire, LE18 1NN. Email - nathalie.muller@iosh.co.uk
The awards will be presented by HSE Board member David Gartside at the National Food and Drink Health and Safety Conference. The first prize is £500 and a trophy and, at the judges discretion, there may be second and third prizes of £250 with certificates. Prize winners also get free entry to the conference.
