HSE Myth busting

By Tony Larkin

In an effort to stop the endless supply of media led health and safety myths gaining credibility HSE has set up a regular feature on its website called Myth of the Month.

Some real old chestnuts are coming out of the woodwork such as school kids being banned from playing conkers. This is utter tosh as we all know and the story is debunked on the website along with other equally stupid suggestions.

To view this and previous exposed myths go to http://www.hse.gov.uk/myth/index.htm
