Workers Memorial Day 2007

The theme for this years Workers Memorial Day (WMD) on 28th April is 'Not just regulation but also enforcement'.
WMD is not only about remembering those who have been killed in accidents at work or died as a consequence of industrial disease. It is also about fighting for those still working in the many industries and workplaces affected by poor health and safety practices.
We believe that unionisation, proper regulation and stronger enforcement are the answer to safer and healthier workplaces. Usdaw supports Workers Memorial Day and encourages reps to get involved in activities.
