Safety Net Journal Issue 5

Controlled temperature guide

The Health and Safety Section have produced a guide to working in controlled temperature rooms other than freezers.

The advice in the guide is aimed at members who work in fresh meat, poultry or fish preparation, where room temperatures are usually below 12 degrees Celsius and members who work in chilled warehouses.

The 'Controlled Temperature Guide' - can be found in the Hazards section of the Usdaw health and safety website at www.usdaw.org.uk/healthandsafety/hazards.
