2008 TUC Safety Reps Survey16 May 2008The seventh TUC safety reps survey is now underway. The TUC is looking for safety reps in all unions to respond to the survey before 1 July 2008. Read on for more detail of how you can take part. Hugh Robertson, TUC’s head of health and safety, said 'We need this information so that the TUC and unions can do more to help safety reps, and so that safety reps' views and experiences are better reflected in public policy debates and the work of the Health and Safety Executive’. It is vitally important that as many Usdaw reps as possible take part so that the results of the survey reflect the issues that matter in the sectors where Usdaw members work. Paper copies of the survey form are being circulated to branches and officials and will be available to reps attending training courses in the next month. If you are not a safety rep yourself but know another member who is, please pass on a copy of the survey form. The TUC asks reps to answer as many questions as they can - but where they seem irrelevant to your experiences, ignore them. They also want reps to include any successes they have had in improving health and safety standards in their workplaces. Completed survey forms have to be returned by 1 July 2008 to: TUC Safety Rep Survey, LRD, 78 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 8HF. You can contact the health and safety section at Central Office for a copy - healthandsafety@usdaw.org.uk - or you can download a copy from the website or you can even complete the survey online at: http://www.tuc.org.uk/h_and_s/tuc-14486-f0.cfm/formbuilder/71/p/1 Download File: |
