Too much - too often - too painful

22 December 2007

TUC-backed Hazards magazine launches new campaign on repetitive strain injuries.

Musculoskeletal disorders are the leading cause of work-related ill health in this country. A significant proportion of these injuries are caused by the wear and tear of repetitive work.

The combination of prolonged repeated physical effort, lack of rest breaks and the psychological pressure to keep on working at all costs can be a vicious cocktail.

Hazards magazine, the independent magazine for safety reps, has recently brought together some useful resources to help health and safety reps to identify the risky jobs in their workplace, including the 'Repeat Afer Me' poster to help to get the message across.

To find out more please go to www.hazards.org/strains/index.htm.

To order copies of the poster from the Hazards campaign, click here.
