Workers Memorial Day - Send a message to your MP

Saturday 28 April is International Workers Memorial Day when worldwide remembrance for all those killed at work or who have died as result of occupational ill health takes place.
In the UK hundreds of people are killed every year in the workplace and thousands die from occupational diseases such as mesothelioma. Urgent action is required to reverse these trends.
This years them is “Inspection and enforcement”. It is timely because the HSE is in crisis and hundreds of factory inspector jobs are likely to be cut. You cna make a difference by writing to your MP to enlist their support for campaigning for safer and healthier workplaces and in getting WMD formally recognised by the government.
