Free access to HSE guidance.

The HSE has announced that all priced publications that contain advice, guidance, regulations, or codes of practice will be available to download from their website free of charge.
The documents will be in PDF format and there are around 250 of these in total. The TUC has been calling for free access to HSE publications for many years and this was a key point in the recent TUC charter for safety representatives.
The first 100 documents should be available by 1st September this year and the remainder will be converted by March 2010. This will be a great boost to safety representatives’ and will help them work with employers to ensure compliance with the law and promote good practice.
