National winner of the 2005 Individual Recruitment Award - Jacqueline Tyler21 January 2006Jacqueline won the 2005 Individual Recruitment Award for outstanding work at the Tesco store in Yiewsley near Heathrow Airport. Many of Jacqueline's colleagues have stayed working in her store because of the support she has given members, and she has been campaigning for more rights for parents and carers which is a particular issue with staff in her store.
“I ran a stall in store focusing on Usdaw's Freedom From Fear campaign to reduce violence against shopworkers and I had massive response from my colleagues and shoppers, who weren't aware that 20,000 shopworkers are assaulted every year,” said Jacqueline.
