Staff fight back by joining the union to protect themselves from violent attacks and apathetic attitude by the company towards workplace security.

Organising Officer Kieron Murphy spotted an issue over security within a convience store in his local area and reacted accordingly by campaigning around the issue and making collegues aware of the company's obligation towards a duty of care.
Membership went from 5% to 90%.
New members included the manager and a new rep. They have the confidence to carry on fighting this issue and future issues now the store is organised.
