Usdaw’s Organising Awards 2005

24 August 2005
Usdaw’s 2005 Organising Awards nominations form
Usdaw’s 2005 Organising Awards nominations form

The first ever Usdaw Organising Awards Ceremony will be held in Manchester on 21 January 2006.

As part of our clear commitment to put the Organising Agenda at the centre of our work, the Usdaw Organising Awards Ceremony will recognise outstanding achievement in organising and/or recruiting new members.

The incredible work that Usdaw activists do on the union’s behalf is greatly appreciated and the establishment of an annual awards ceremony will properly recognise that hard work in the workplace.

Your help is now needed to find the best nominees for the eight different categories.

Categories

1. Individual Organising Award

2. Individual Recruitment Award

3. Team Recruitment and Organising Award

4. The Campaigns Award

5. Health and Safety Rep Award

6. Union Learning Rep Award

7. The Equalities Award

8. Most Promising New Activist Award

Please ensure that as much detail as possible is given on the nomination form. We want to know why you, or other members making nominations, think they’re deserving of national recognition.

The nomination process is straight forward and open to all:

  • Anyone can nominate a colleague or anyone can nominate themselves.
  • The person nominating completes the nomination form and returns it to their Divisional Officer by Friday 4 November 2005.
  • The Divisional Council will nominate a winner in each category for your division who will be invited to the National Awards Ceremony in Manchester on Saturday 21 January 2006.
  • The eight national award winners will be determined by a vote of the Executive Council and the winners will not be known until announced at the awards ceremony.

The Usdaw Organising Awards 2005 nomination form can be downloaded from the web site or ordered from your divisional office.
