If the answer is yes . . . you could be an Academy Trainee. Usdaw, in association with the TUC is looking to recruit a number of trainees for the TUC’s Organising Academy for placement within Usdaw. The job involves visiting, recruiting and organising in workplaces across all of the Usdaw sectors.
Successful applicants will be offered:
- A 12 month contract, a competitive salary and benefits package.
- Training at the TUC's National Education Centre.
- On the job coaching by an Usdaw Area Organiser.
You should have:
- An active commitment to Usdaw.
- A track record of union activism.
- The potential to recruit and organise in different workplaces.
Key dates
- Closing date for applications 21 July 2003.
- Joint Usdaw/TUC Assessment centre August (details to follow).
- Starting date 29 September 2003 (subject to confirmation).
