Network Journal 2008 Issue 2 March/April

Can you help Labour win locally?

On Thursday 1 May 2008 there will be local elections in some parts of England and Wales.

Up and down the country local Labour Party activists are campaigning for important elections this year and over the next few years. To volunteer just a couple of hours of your time, please telephone 08705 900 200.

Your local Labour Party is looking for people to:

  • Deliver literature to voters.
  • Help with clerical/office work.
  • Call or canvass voters.
  • Telephone voters from a Labour Party office.
  • Help with fundraising events.

No matter how little time you are able to offer, your local Labour team will be grateful for the assistance. Why not organise a group from your workplace to volunteer together?

Postal Voting

Many of our members work unusual shifts or can be away from home unexpectedly. To make life easier you can opt to vote by post.

For more information on helping Labour or postal voting please contact Usdaw's politics office on 0161 249 2452 or email usdaw4labour@usdaw.org.uk
