Get ready for ADM 2008: In brief
Creche, stalls and fringe meetings.
Bring the kids
Delegates and visitors can take advantage of the ADM crèche which caters for up to 30 children aged under 16.
Given the limited number of places you should book early if you intend to bring your children. The crèche is free and is staffed by qualified childminders.
Fringe benefits
A number of meetings and social events are held outside of conference hours and are open to delegates and visitors.
Lunchtime and early evening meetings will be well-publicised before and during ADM, while delegates should look out for the flyers for the various social events held in or near to the Winter Gardens later in the evenings.
In the stalls
Outside of the main conference hall will be a number of exhibition stalls with everything on display: from the union's own merchandise and publications to the various trade sectors.
The union's affinity partners will also be displaying their latest offers with various prizes and incentives available to visitors and delegates.
Your ADM guide
First-time visitors and delegates will find the union's Guide to ADM particularly useful ahead of this year's conference.
It can be downloaded from www.usdaw.org.uk/getactive/resource_library
The eve of conference meeting will also inform first-time delegates and visitors on ADM procedures and the week's timetable.
