Safety council
Any members who are active as local councillors should take note of the HSE and Local Authority Co-ordinator of Regulatory Services (LACORS) organised events held regionally in October and November, aimed primarily at heads of service and councillors.
Dates are as follows:
- London - 24 October
- Birmingham - 8 November
- Bristol - 14 November
- Manchester - 20 November
- York - 29 November
Local authorities enforce health and safety law for the majority of Usdaw members working in shops, offices and warehouses.
More information on these events, including how to register, will be available from LACORS. Separate events for Scotland and Wales will also be announced shortly.
