Green Tolpuddle on offer this year

Tim Lezard, TUC media officer

Trade union members who care about the environment can learn about greening their workplace 'on site' in the beautiful Dorset countryside - and take in the Tolpuddle Martyrs' festival at the same time.

The three day camp begins on July 11 and ends in time for the start of the Festival on Friday July 13. This is an accredited course and will show unions can promote change.

The Festival's main day is on the Sunday when thousands of people from across the UK celebrate the origins of the trade union movement.

Entertainment includes singer-song writer Billy Bragg, music from Chumbawamba, comedian Mark Thomas and veteran former politician Tony Benn.
