LGBT reps get-together
Lesbian Gay Bi-sexual and Transgender (LGBT) reps from the union’s divisional equalities forums met up in Manchester in February to discuss key issues for LGBT members and to put forward their ideas for local divisional activity.
"This was a great opportunity for Usdaw to sit down with some of its key LGBT activists and find out what their concerns are and what we can do as a union to help move the agenda forward," said general secretary John Hannett.
Reps looked at ways of involving LGBT members in divisional activities and at how they could raise the union's profile and involvement at events such as Manchester Pride.
