Festive closure won’t hurt

Congratulations on your campaign in Scotland on Christmas trading hours.
I feel that all retail stores should be closed for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and also on New Year's Day.
After all it isn't as if retailers don't make enough profit, so closing for three days wont hurt them. Just look at the amount of waste that gets thrown away, that alone would cover any loss. It is also not fair on families with kids who like to spend time together.
