Network Journal 2006 Issue 4 Nov/Dec

Safety call

The HSE has issued updated advice to Local Authority enforcement officers on health and safety in call centres.

The document covers breaks away from display screens, workplace design, musculoskeletal disorders and violence from clients. There is a detailed section on performance monitoring, and a section on the HSE's stress management standards to the industry.

The advice will help call centre managers and safety reps to understand the hazards and the relevant regulations and guidance.
