ADM 2005 – public holidays
UK workers should get an additional public holiday between September and December to bring them in line with their European counterparts, said Sarah France, Manchester Central.
The Government should also outlaw employers using a Sunday as a public holiday during the Christmas/New Year period. Conference agreed with Terry Cummings, Ann Moore, Dave Manning, Elizabeth Quinton and others joining the debate.
