ADM 2005 - no place for bullies

Bullying in the workplace has its roots in the classroom and has to be stamped out, Christine Bradley, Plymouth PT, told ADM.

As part of a deeply emotional debate which brought speaker after speaker to the rostrum, she said: "My daughter has been persistently bullied at school and the bullies are getting away with it. Schools and the Government need to do more to tackle this problem. It leads to thousands of attempted suicides every year."

Darran Travis, West Yorkshire, said all schools have a bullying problem. "This can often lead to anti-social behaviour," he said.

Shirley Bowden, Christine Chort, Mary Harker, Anne Hill, John O'Brien, Wendy Subhan, Heather Murch and Simon Morley all lent their voices to the call to clamp down on bullying.
