ADM 2005 - Democracy rules at union’s parliament
The busiest four days in the union’s calendar flew by in April as more than 1,700 delegates, visitors and officials descended on the Winter Gardens in Blackpool to debate all the important issues for Usdaw members at the Annual Delegate Meeting (ADM).
Every area was covered from politics to pensions, from campaigns to contributions, and from safety to the sale of alcohol. Delegates were passionate in their determination to drive the union forward. See further articles in this issue of Network (prefixed with the heading 'ADM 2005') which cover some of the main debates during conference which marked John Hannett's first ADM as General Secretary.
