Dairy Farmers of Britain goes into receivership

It was announced last night that Dairy Farmers of Britain (DFoB) would be going into receivership, with up to 2,200 jobs being put at risk.

John Gorle, National Officer for Usdaw, which represents the majority of DFoB employees said:

“It is devastating news that Dairy Farmers of Britain is going into receivership. We are seeking urgent talks with the receivers, Price Waterhouse Coopers.

“We hope that sections of the business can be sold on as a going concern, to save as many jobs as possible.”
