questions

Am I allowed rest breaks? I am supermarket home delivery driver

questions

Yes you are allowed breaks. Mobile workers were excluded from the Working Time Regulations, but an amendment covering your type of work was introduced in 2004.

answers

Any driver who drives a vehicle that is under 3.5tonnes comes under UK domestic driving rules. This means you can only drive for up to 10 hours a day and work for up to 12 hours. Mobile workers are excluded from the usual rest break entitlements under the Working Time Regulations. Instead, these workers are entitled to 'adequate rest'
'Adequate rest' is not clearly defined. It means that workers should have regular rest periods. These should be sufficiently long to ensure that fatigue or irregular working patterns do not cause workers to injure themselves, fellow workers or others, and to prevent damage to their health.
